BRIEF HIGHLIGHTS OF THE YAS PREMIER LEAGUE PLAYING RULES
Rule 01. Age Group
The spring, summer and fall, Youth America Soccer Premier League will consist of the following age groups:
Challenge: U-8, U9 Boys and Girls
Premier: U-10 through U-18 Boys and Girls
Rule 02.Team Rosters, Player Eligibility and Team Composition
Section 1 Rosters
- All team must use YAS Premier League designated Official REGISTRAR.
- All teams must complete an official YAS Premier League roster. Rosters are frozen on the day of the team's third game.
- There will be NO Loan/Guest Players.
Section 2. Proof of Age. The YAS Premier Acceptable proof of age documents include but not limited to: Original Birth Certificate, Adoption Certificate, Certificate of Naturalization, Passport, Resident Alien ID Card and/or Player Pass from the prior YAS Premier League season.
Section 3. Each player listed must be registered with the US Soccer Club Member Club or the Youth State Association.
a. Teams U-11 to U-18 may list a maximum of eighteen (18) eligible players.
b. Teams U-9 and U-10 may listed a maximum of fifteen (15) eligible players
c. U-8 teams may listed a maximum of twelve (12) eligible players
A minimum of seven (7) constitutes a team for play for U-9 to U-18. For U-8 teams a minimum of minimum of five (5) constitutes a team for play.

Section 6. A player may be concurrently registered to more than one team, but he/she may only play for one team in the YAS Premier League. The player may be registered to a team competing in the NCSL, WAGS, MPSL, OBSL or other competitive league in the metropolitan area.

Rule 03. Team Obligations
Section 1. Each coach MUST have a copy of his/her team's Official YAS Premier League stamped Roster and US Club Soccer player cards or US Youth Association cards, at every game. This requirement is not optional, and a YAS official or the Referee may check roster and cards at any time. Refusal to produce the roster and/or player passes shall be immediately reported to the League Commissioner following the game.

Rule 04. Rules of Play
Section 1. Except as otherwise provided by these rules, the FIFA "Laws of the Game" apply to the Youth America Soccer Premier League games.
Section 2. The length of games, ball size, and number of players on the field for each age group shall be as follows:
U-17 & U18: Two 45 min. Halves ball #5 (11 Vs. 11)
U-15 & U16: Two 40 min. Halves ball #5 (11 Vs. 11)
U-13 & U14: Two 35 min. Halves ball #5 (11 Vs. 11)
U-12 Two 30 min. Halves ball #4 (11 Vs. 11)
U-11 Two 30 min. Halves ball #4 (9 Vs. 9)
U-9 & U-10 Two 25 min. Halves ball #4 (9 Vs. 9)
U-8 Two 20 min. Halves ball #4 (7 Vs.7)
There will be a five (5) minute half-time interval in all games.

Section 4. Tie scores will stand in all preliminary matches. For each Semi-Final and Final game, during the overtime period at the end of regulation play, the team which scores the first goal is declared the winner [Golden Goal]. If the game is still tied at the end of overtime, FIFA "Kicks from the Penalty Mark" rules will determine the winner.
Rule 05. Substitutions

Rule 06. Standings and Advancement
Section 1. A team's standings in its division will be determined by the number of points it receives based on its win/loss record during the league season. Points will be awarded as follows:
- Three (3) points for a Win
- One (1) point for a Tie
- Zero (0) points for a Loss
Rule 09. Suspensions
Section 1. A player or coach shall be suspended for at least one game if they receive a red card (ejection) or 2 yellow cards in the same game that results in a red card (ejection).
Section 2. Sit Outs
- A player or coach receiving a suspension in a game other than the final match must sit out the next YAS Premier League game(s).

Section 5. Suspensions, all disciplinary actions and recommendations, or dismissal of charges will take effect following the ruling of the YAS Commissioner. Affected parties are to be notified by the YAS Commissioner within a 48-hour period of said hearing and/or decision.
Section 6. Pleas of ignorance to these rules and regulations are not sufficient, and violators may expect appropriate action by the YAS Administration.
